Igniting change by expanding access to education from primary through tertiary level for learners who demonstrate the potential to become future leaders and changemakers. Ignite focuses on early intervention, continuity of support, and long-term educational journeys.
Health
Igniting change by enabling access to essential health services, resources, and opportunities in communities where support is needed most, helping individuals and families build healthier, more resilient futures.
Social Development
Igniting change through initiatives that empower individuals to find their voice and shape their own futures. Focus areas include gender-based violence awareness, disability inclusion, employment readiness, and community-led development programs.
Environment
Igniting change through projects that protect, restore, and sustain local environments, including tree planting, community gardens, and animal rehabilitation initiatives that support long-term environmental wellbeing.

At the heart of Ignite is a clear belief: when a spark is nurtured early, its impact can ignite a movement that extends far beyond one individual. Education creates access to possibility. It shapes confidence, curiosity, and ambition at the stages where guidance and stability matter most.
By starting at the high school level, Ignite supports learners through critical formative years, providing structure, mentorship, and sustained support that guides their journey through education and beyond.

Our Partnerships
To launch Ignite with focus and impact, Makosi has partnered with two respected organizations that support learners at different but connected stages of their education journey: the Student Sponsorship Programme (SSP) and the Thuthuka Education Upliftment Fund (TEUF).
Together, these partnerships enable Makosi to support learners from early high school through to tertiary education, creating continuity, stability, and long-term opportunity.
The Student Sponsorship Programme (SSP)
SSP is dedicated to placing exceptional learners in leading high schools and supporting them throughout their academic journey. Its proven model combines academic excellence, leadership development, and structured mentorship, aligning closely with Makosi’s commitment to long-term impact and reimagining what is possible when talent is given the right foundation.
Thuthuka Education Upliftment Fund (TEUF)
Makosi has also partnered with the Thuthuka Education Upliftment Fund, a SAICA-led initiative focused on expanding access to education for previously disadvantaged learners and strengthening South Africa’s future pipeline of Chartered Accountants (CA(SA)).
Through Thuthuka, Makosi has proudly sponsored two students, supporting their progression through higher education and their journey toward qualifying as Chartered Accountants. This partnership reflects Makosi’s commitment to long-term educational pathways that extend beyond school and into professional leadership.
